Derisk Director and Principal Geologist Mark Berry attended the Resourcing Tomorrow conference in London, organised by the Mines and Money team. Some of the most interesting and relevant topics during the conference were the push to ramp up environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in the exploration and mining sector, as well as the impending challenges of attracting young people to want to work in the industry, particularly technical roles such as geologists, mining engineers, and metallurgists.
Mark also attended a pre-conference Austrade function showcasing a number of Australian companies active in the so-called “critical minerals” space. Aren’t all minerals critical for human society and wellbeing?
