On 1 March, Derisk Geomining Consultants celebrated its fourth anniversary and has secured over 100 projects throughout Australasia, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Europe. Our success is derived from the support provided by a strong associate base comprising more than 80 consultants specialising in the areas of exploration, mining, processing, environmental management, and social/community engagement.
Strategic and operational management of Derisk resides with its founding directors Mark Berry and Michele Pilkington. Mark is a geologist with over 40 years’ minerals industry experience and Michele is an accomplished business manager with over 30 years’ experience. The Derisk ethos of uncompromised quality and integrity is evident in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the business.
This past year has presented many challenges with the onset of the global CO-VID 19 pandemic. The Derisk business model is based on an office-less business and an extensive network of seasoned professionals who operate remotely around the world. This has allowed us to maintain the operation of our core services, including conducting site visits, largely unaffected by the pandemic.
