Derisk and AIG recently completed Round 6 of its JORC Code workshops. The first round of workshops were rolled out in May 2020 and have been followed by workshops in August 2020, November 2020, March 2021, July/August 2021, and most recently November 2021. Four JORC Code workshops are run each round:
- Introduction to the JORC Code
- Reporting Exploration Targets and Exploration Results
- Reporting Mineral Resources
- Integrating ASX Rules with the JORC Code
AIG has consciously scheduled the workshops to suit Australian east coast and west coast audiences. Importantly, the east coast timing allows audiences from North/South America and the Asia Pacific region to attend at a reasonable local time. Similarly, the west coast timing allows audiences from Europe and Africa to attend at a reasonable local time. In total, nearly 500 people have now attended the six rounds of JORC Code workshops from Australia and twenty international destinations i.e., Austria, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Canada, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Greenland, Indonesia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Laos, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and United States.
The JORC Code is currently undergoing an update and it is anticipated that a new JORC Code may be released in late 2022. In the meantime, AIG is planning to run Round 7 of the existing workshops in March 2022.
